Five Myths About the Great Depression

The Wall Street Journal Online has an interesting article about some myths regarding the Great Depression. Some of this I already knew (such as President Hoover being a liberal Republican and that government policies to “help” people actually caused more problems) but some was new to me. In many ways, I can see the U.S. heading down the same road today because our view of history sadly starts from the time of our first memories. Anything before that is just stuff that happened to other people (assuming it is accurately taught).
