The Curse of the Cell Phone

As the previous post stated, today was Starfest, and I attended and had a blast…mostly (I’ll blog about the event in the coming days). Unfortunately, shortly after we arrived, my cell phone went off. I really didn’t pay attention to who was calling and thought it might be my brother, since he’d initially talked of coming. However, when my acting manager from The Company spoke, I realized I’d made a HUGE mistake. Yes, I am a complete and total smeg head!

Anyway, I’ll blog more about this later too (I’ve got to get to bed because I’m heading down to the Springs tomorrow to go to church for the final time for a LONG time and see my folks) but suffice to say, after initially being told that my shift wouldn’t change, I’m now moving to front-end day shift and will now have to deal with the politics there, multiple managers (like roughly 10 of them) looking over my shoulder constantly, and the other crap that goes on during day shift. Ugh! I’m not looking forward to this I can tell you. That’s to say nothing of the massive pay cut I’m taking by losing the night differential pay.

Well, at least I have a job, right? Still, I wish I’d not answered the phone. Then I wouldn’t have had moments of feeling bummed out at Starfest. *_*
