Gah! I hate politicians and I hate certain political groups. I just saw some hideous commercial weaving a tale of doom on all because of the cuts to health care. If you see the commercial, you think that the budget submitted by the President is going to kill a lot of people and cause others to not have health care because there are cuts. Yes, we must stop the evil president and these massive cuts.

Seriously, the blasted 2007 budget is set for more money than 2006 and these jerks scream about cuts? What smegging cuts are you talking about?
Here’s a quote from the HHS website:
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) fiscal year (FY) 2007 Budget supports the Department’s mission to provide for the health, safety, and well-being of Americans. FY 2007 outlays will total $698 billion, an increase of $58 billion over FY 2006.
Not seeing any cuts, smeg heads. I am seeing an 8% increase.
Oh wait. You wanted more than an 8% increase and because you didn’t get as big as an increase, that’s a “cut.” What a crock. I wanted a pay raise and didn’t get one, so I guess I can say I took a pay cut, right?

I swear, someone better get some ads out there to counter this crap because I knew the news media will simply say an 8% increase is actually a cut. Frankly, as much bloody taxes as I pay, I don’t want to have to pay even more for smeg heads to waste under the guise of “we care about people” when in fact all they care about is the money.
